Gucci’s contemporary approach to exclusive Italian design and glamour is recognised throughout the world with their sunglass range being a definitive luxury accessory. It is one of the most recognised brands in the world and is aimed at both the male and female consumers who appreciate fine quality, fashionable and stylish sunglasses.
The History of the Brand
Gucci was started in Florence in 1921 by Guccio Gucci, and mainly produced high quality Italian leather luggage and shoes made by local Tuscan artisans who were true Italian craftsmen. He was heavily influenced by the equestrian world that surrounded him and gave rise to the famous red/green/red banding and other iconic images within the brand. He went on to open a little boutique in Rome in 1938 where the brand grew in its recognition of combining opulence with contemporary glamour using exquisite craftsmanship and only the best of Italian leather. The 1950’s saw the biggest expansion of the design house when they went on to increase their product lines with the introduction of clothing, jewellery and other accessories. Today Gucci is known as one of the leading luxury design houses in the world.
The sunglass collection
This season’s collection for men has a classic flair with a contemporary edge and reflects casual elegance with metropolitan spirit as seen recently on the catwalks. The aviator model is dedicated to the contemporary gentleman with a sophisticated, masculine feel and discreetly engraved logos.
For ladies this season is all about femininity using retro inspirations with contemporary touches combined with pure clean lines. Highly polished metal and mirror flash lenses in a sophisticated colour palette are used to perfectly highlight the eyes.
You can relax in the knowledge that whichever style you choose, the lenses have full uv protection to prevent sun damage to the eyes. It is possible to be stylish and safe where your eyes are concerned.
